Publishing management establishes the press’s scope, commercial and legal controls, staffing and resource allocation. Independent scholarly assessment is coordinated by the Editor-in-Chief / Scholarly Director with the assistance of relevant Series Editors and external reviewers.
Decision-making duties are separated where practicable: acquisitions recommends projects; independent experts evaluate them; a responsible academic editor records the decision; research integrity may review allegations and competing interests; production and metadata personnel verify the final files and bibliographic record. Appointed officers and their credentials can be maintained in the Academic Board administration panel.
