Library catalogers may download published-book metadata as MARCXML, ONIX, KBART or CSV, browse the public API and harvest Dublin Core through OAI-PMH. Metadata is descriptive and must be checked before local catalog import. Institutional electronic licensing and bulk access are negotiated with the publisher; the existence of a metadata feed does not grant access rights to paid PDFs or EPUBs.
